AREA DESCRIPTION

The villa is located in the Sugar Beach Resort near Soufriere Saint Lucia. Soufrière is a picturesque fishing town divided in two by the Soufrière River. Most of the shops, craft centers and restaurants are located a few streets in from the jetty in Soufrière.

Soufrière is St Lucia’s first settled town and the former capital during French rule. Soufrière is now a picturesque fishing town divided in two by the Soufrière River. One point of interest is Malmaison situated on the outskirts of town and this is where Napoleon Bonaparte’s wife spent her childhood. Soufrière also boasts a drive-in volcano and health-giving mineral baths which are worth a visit.Soufrière itself has a stretch of dark sandy beach fringed with coconut palms to the north of the town which is particularly popular with locals.

The Pitons are without a doubt St Lucia’s most famous and photographed landmark. These twin volcanic mountains soar out of the sea and dominate the landscape as you drive south of Soufrière. The northern Piton is called Petit Piton and is 743 meters in height whilst Gros Piton is 771 meters in height. Gros Piton is easier to climb although it is very steep towards the top. It takes about 5 hours round trip. A guide is recommended and can be obtained from Gros Piton Tours.

Cancel up to 60 days before your trip and only pay 50% of the total accommodation fees for the reservation.Cancel within 60 days of the trip and the reservation is non-refundable.
