Villa Francesco is a property consisting of two adjoining historic houses, rented as a single complex together with the large garden and swimming pool, with catering service and daily cleaning.

These two ancient villas have been completely and elegantly renovated, with private and spacious rooms, comfortable and elegant common areas and wonderful views, making them the ideal location for those looking for a luxurious yet informal setting, a place to feel at home away from home.

It is with this concept in mind that we renovate and furnish our villas: as if they were our home – in the hope that they will become a place for you to feel welcome and pampered, where you can enjoy moments of complete relaxation in an environment that is refined but comfortable to live in, warm and delicate, with the utmost attention given to every detail.

Years of experience in hospitality have taught us that a good location is the key to a great holiday, and our goal is to ensure we meet those expectations.

The villas are complete with chef service, daily cleaning, and various services aimed at wellness, relaxation, and fun. Being surrounded by the great riches of Tuscany, you’ll be able to explore beautiful ancient villages, cities of art, history, culture and authentic Italian cuisine.

BOTTICELLI’S HOUSE

Built-in 1432 in the Gothic style, it was initially used as a hostel attached to the nearby thermal bath.

It is a 3-story building for a total of about 500 square meters, subject to a major renovation and conservative restoration in 2019-2021, which gave it its current internal shape.

The 7 spacious bedrooms all have en-suite bathrooms and are 5 double, one triple and one quadruple. The large living rooms complete the spaces together with the ‘kitchenette’: the large kitchen renovated maintaining the style of the old kitchens and fully equipped.

The ground floor and first floor have ceilings decorated with elaborate and precious eighteenth and nineteenth century paintings, restored and cleaned to return to their original splendor.

On the second floor, instead, an intervention was made to recover the large wooden beams supporting the roof, as well as the architraves of doors and windows where possible, creating a warm and harmonious environment.

The rear views are on the garden, the front ones are instead facing the small square of Bagno alla Villa – where there are the ancient characteristic thermal baths and a small number of houses and villas with beautiful architecture – and on the valley of the Lima stream, where the built-up area of ​​Bagni di Lucca, granting the sight beautiful glimpses and views.

VILLA VERLA

Dating back to the early 1800s and enlarged in the early 1900s, Villa Verla underwent a significant renovation in 2008, which saw the bathrooms and kitchen completely refurbished and the furniture renewed in its entirety.

It enjoys a panoramic and privileged position, being part – together with “Botticelli’s House” – of a small complex of houses and villas called Bagno alla Villa, situated in an elevated position on the town of Bagni di Lucca. The town center can easily be reached with a 5-minute walk.

The villa is a three-floor construction, for a total of ​​approximately 300sqm.

On the ground floor there is a large dining room -with a splendid veranda overlooking the garden- and a professional kitchen reserved for the villa staff.

On the upper floors are four spacious bedrooms with private bathrooms. On the first floor there is a second living room with TV and a sofa bed, while on the second floor there is the spa area, with sauna and a massage area.

The ‘Villa Verla’ overlooks the green garden and the valley of the Lima stream.

The Garden

In front of the main entrance of ‘Villa Verla’ and at the back of ‘Botticelli’s House’  there is a large private garden from which you can enjoy a splendid view of the valley and the surrounding mountains. There is a considerable wealth of vegetation, and on the meadows, there are ancient large terracotta basins filled with flowers.

On the large lawn and under the immense, centuries-old trees, there is a long table where you can enjoy delicious meals prepared by our chef.

In a secluded area of the garden we have the swimming pool, covered in mosaics and embellished with white marble tubs from the ancient spas. Here we also find the solarium with an adjacent loggia – once used as a “lemon house”, now equipped with sofas and a bar area – and topped by another large terrace. The shade of the loggia and the lawn in front of it are perfect for enjoying pleasant moments of comfort in a private setting.

Next to the pool, going down the hillside, there is a large area of terraced garden, equally private, which leads to a small, green forest. You can spend quiet hours reading or chatting in the shade of the trees, or sunbathing while cooling off in the pool.

Pretty corners with ancient stone and marble benches will guarantee a romantic atmosphere.
