Movie stars showed the world what staying in an Italian lake villa represents class, a dream-like life, absolute beauty away from summer crowds, tranquillity, and pure Hollywood poetry. The lake district of Italy is where to rediscover the pleasure of living the upscale travel standards. Life on the Lake summarises elements: peace, a romantic contrast between clear water and snowy Alpine peaks, and a thermal range during the year that does not reach the extremes. The villa features a unique architecture in Italy, with its intertwined arches, and rich and refined adornments made of stucco and molded plaster, reminding Moorish architecture found in Baghdad, Sevilla, or Cairo. An immaculate, manicured garden with sun loungers, furnished alfresco areas, and an aromatic plants zone to enjoy the fresh and clean air.
The interiors include spacious salons on the ground floor, a lounge bar, a Michelin-starred restaurant for our guests only, a massage room, and spacious bedrooms with breathtaking vistas. Activities at the lake include renting a boat for a water tour in the afternoon, an excellent Italian sparkling wine, gentle hiking around the lake, and the skillful hiker. The mountains offer great trails for the skillful hiker.
Otherwise, hop on a helicopter ride over the Alps. In the surrounding area, there are many opportunities for high-end shopping. The property is within walking distance from the lake and nestled at the edge of the nearby village, five minutes from the shores of a stunning bathing lake.

The villa features a unique Moorish style, customized for the commissioner by a talented architect of the area in 1879. The Moorish style shows many influences from the Maghreb, Arabic and Iraqi art and decorations so the architecture of this building was studied by Cairo University. Some of the peculiarities are the refined plaster stuccoes scattered everywhere, and the Florentine mosaics in the hall, which are also found in the floors of some rooms, otherwise made of original terracotta or quality old wooden boards. The rooms and salons are vaulted and frescoed; every inch of the villa’s surface is decorated to such an extent that experienced staff can still discover details they hadn’t noticed before. There is extensive use of marble on the external columns and bathrooms, with marbles of different kinds and origins, the same type used in northern Italy’s most significant architectural works, such as the Milan cathedral. The furnishing is impeccably juxtaposed and suits the style of the building without clashing. The numerous internal and external architectural details create complex plays of light, resulting
in a unique example, reasonably distinct from the art of the time. Eclectic yet very welcoming and peaceful, this is an opulent retreat full of history and lavish comforts, with an elegant aura and an exotic vibe, showcasing a unique example of Moorish architecture in northern Italy.

Access
There are 20 meters to reach the castle from the parking spot. There are 2 stairs to get to the main door, the manor features 4 levels with an elevator, there is the possibility to enter the property through a wheelchair ramp.

THE PRICE INCLUDES

• Enjoy a continental breakfast served à la carte from 7:30 to 10 am, featuring fresh ingredients.
• Each day, a 5-course meal prepared by a Michelin-starred culinary team is included.
• Housekeeping staff provide morning service, a team of 3 persons of staff 8 hours a day 7 days a week, from 8 am to 5 pm daily, and evening couverture service from 8 pm to 10 pm as needed.
• Bed linen is changed three times per week, and bathroom towels are refreshed daily;
• Electricity (air conditioning) and Gas (heating) consumption is included.

• The Piedmont region has a unique energy that comes from mixing its royal history with its contemporary role in industry, economy, and arts. And, as well as the restaurants, shopping, and nearby nature, people’s perceptions are also mesmerized by what a culturally rich area this is in terms of museums, architecture, and art, especially contemporary. Several nearby restaurants and trattorias serve organic, local cuisine. We recommend the traditional and original San Giulio and, for those who prefer a chic atmosphere, the enchanting Locanda Orta. Sneak to Gaja (upon reservation, the local concierge can help with this) for a tasting of some of the best wines Italy has to offer.

• The deposit shall be paid for confirmation, and it’s 50% of the rental plus taxes
• Balance must be paid a maximum of 90 days prior to arrival, and it consists of 50% of rental plus 30% of gross rental (of which 10% for Damage Deposit and 20% of Refundable Advanced Provisioning Allowance)
• All services must be prepaid at least 30 days prior to arrival. Any services ordered after this deadline can not be guaranteed and are subject to availability. All service orders must be placed and prepaid in a timely manner to ensure that guests’ stay is as seamless and enjoyable as possible.

• Bookings canceled 91 days (or more) prior to arrival are subject to a 50% cancellation charge.
• Bookings canceled 90 days (or less) prior to arrival are subject to a 100% cancellation charge.
• The same provisions, as to the calculation of penalties, will apply to requests for Rental date change.
• In the unlikely event that we modify a booking, the agency/customer will be able to choose between the available options among the following:
  – (I) Accept a replacement property of comparable quality for the same dates booked
  – (II) Accept an alternative property of inferior quality for the same dates booked plus a credit note for the cost difference
  – (III) Accept a change of period of stay in the same property
• In the event of cancellation of Services, the following penalty fees will apply
  – 25% of the total amount for Services canceled more than 61 days before the check-in date
  – 50% of the total amount for Services canceled from 60 to 16 days before the check-in date
  – 100% of the total amount for Services canceled from 15 days to the check-in date
