Arezzo – Tuscany, Italy
This house is part of an ancient pilgrimage retreat built during the XV century that comprehends other houses and composes a historical hamlet that has been restored by blending the entire environment and the culture of its historical heritage. The hamlet life comprises a series of common areas with various features accessible by the guests.
The interior design results from a unique classic yet renovated style with original handmade terracotta floors and wood-beamed ceilings that embrace a rustic feeling. Elements of classic Italian architecture are combined with contemporary touches such as LED lights set in antique lamp holders, and steel kitchens in industrial style, and the bathroom’s design is inspired by the feeling of modern life. Materials are sourced locally, such as travertine marble, serene stone, and wood features. New-fashioned yet very comfortable, this is a contemporary retreat with an elegant aura and a welcoming vibe, blending traditional and modern Italian architecture with a solid eco-friendly accent.
This house is located inside an ancient town, founded in 1400 around a former monastery less than one hour from Florence. Just a few steps from its door, the guest can experience the authenticity of rural life with all the village amenities, such as the swimming pool, library, theatre, and restaurant.
