Sleeping 2 to 4 people, this elegantly converted and restored country villa was originally used as a barn in past centuries and still stands just across the courtyard from the grand farmhouse likewise now renovated that it once served.
Set high among the lush green hills that border Liguria and Tuscany and are surrounded by a vast olive grove, it guarantees the utmost privacy and seclusion and occupies the perfect spot for peaceful relaxation. In addition, the villa’s outdoor jacuzzi pool invites you to bathe at leisure in its heated waters, undisturbed by the clamor of the outside world!
From this privileged elevated position, extensive scenic views can be enjoyed, stretching right from the Apuan Alps inland to the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean. The Cinque Terre villages too are very close at hand.


ACCOMMODATION

The property extends over three floors, as follows: At the ground-floor level, a former winter conservatory has now been transformed into a lovely, light-filled dining room, incorporating a lounge area and kitchenette. This modern fitted kitchen is fully equipped with an oven; fridge/freezer, dishwasher; toaster; espresso, and American coffee-makers. Issuing from here, the utility room accommodates a washing machine and dryer.
Positioned just outside the dining room, a few external steps lead you upstairs to the first-floor sleeping quarters. These consist of a romantic double bedroom, with an ensuite bathroom with shower, as well as a lovely adjoining terrace, furnished with a table, chairs, and sunshade.
From this level, a wooden staircase proceeds to the top floor, where the second double bedroom is located, complete with its ensuite bathroom with shower and a luxurious sauna, for when you feel like pampering yourself!
The house is tastefully and stylishly furnished and decorated throughout and careful attention has been paid to every detail of comfort and convenience a guest could require. Both bedrooms are fitted with air-conditioning; Sat.TV; CD player; and mini-bar. The first-floor bedroom also provides a safe. Embroidered towels and bathrobes are likewise supplied. At the further disposal of guests are the following: a cell phone; breakfast provided, but not served; organic produce from the villa’s vegetable garden.
Villetta Gardenia is indeed surrounded by an extensive garden, brightly planted with colorful, scented seasonal flowers. Beyond this, a large olive grove forms a restful backdrop. An elegant wooden gazebo, appointed with a table and wickerwork chairs, allows you to enjoy this beautiful natural setting in welcome shade or to linger over breakfast, lunch, or dinner al fresco. Completing this idyllic scene is the spacious, warm-water jacuzzi (3×3 meters), encircled by tempting sunshades and comfortable loungers, and with its own hot, outdoor shower alongside.

Note: The property owners themselves reside in the converted farmhouse building situated on the same grounds, just a few meters from Villetta Gardenia. However, each house has its private entrance and garden and the property owners are at all times fully respectful of their guests’ privacy.

Villetta Gardenia is located within easy reach of the area’s main sights of outstanding natural beauty or historic and artistic interest, such as the following: the Cinque Terre villages; the Gulf of Poets; Portovenere; Portofino; the Apuan Alps, and the white-marble quarries of Carrara (15 mins by car); the beaches of Versilia (20 mins by car); the famous Tuscan towns of Pisa (30 mins by car), Lucca (30 mins by car) and Florence (1 hour). Many other unspoiled beaches dotted along the nearby coast can be accessed by car in about 10 mins. regular daily ferry services operate from the local port of Marina di Carrara (8 km away) to the Gulf of Poets; Portovenere; the Cinque Terre villages; and Portofino. Swimming pools, tennis courts, and a renowned, top-quality seafood restaurant are available at the “Club Muraglione” leisure complex, situated 4 km away.

Cancellation

In the unfortunate event of you needing to cancel all or part of your holiday we will be obliged to make the following charges:

  • Cancel up to 60 days before your trip and only pay 30% of the total accommodation fees for the reservation.
  • Cancel within 60 days of the trip and the reservation is non-refundable

According to Italian law (ART. 109 – TULPS), the owners and/or managers of any touristic structure are required to register their guests with the authorities before allowing their access to the facilities. To facilitate the registration, process you will be required to provide complete contact details (name, last name, address, telephone number, etc.), a copy of the passport, and the authorization to hold these details by law (D. Lgs. 196/2003) on privacy protection, before you arrived at the property. This information cannot be used to promote, sell, or solicit any service or product from you and is required only for the individual responsible for the rental agreement. For late check-in (after 8 pm) an extra cost of 50,00 euros is required in cash upon arrival.
